Andy Warhol: Better Days | Licitație pentru susținerea artiștilor

Fundația Andy Warhol scoate la licitație o colecție de 60 de fotografii originale realizate de artist, într-o inițiativă intitulată: „Andy Warhol: Better Days”. Încasările obținute din vânzările fotografiilor vor susține eforturile fundației de a oferi ajutor artiștilor din SUA în timpul pandemiei.

Printre fotografii sunt reprezentări ale naturii, imagini cu flori și cu marea, dar și autoportrete, dintre care cel puțin unul este de așteptat să ajungă până la 50.000 de dolari.

Potrivit Fundației Andy Warhol, imaginile au fost „alese pentru abilitatea lor de a transporta privitorul în zile mai bune, transmițând splendoarea de a fi în aer liber și plăcerile simple asociate cu interacțiunea umană”. Adică exact ceea ce avem nevoie acum.

„Trebuie să lași micile lucruri care, în mod normal, te-ar plictisi să te captiveze și să te emoționeze.”, Andy Warhol.

Licitația online va fi deschisă în perioada 28 aprilie – 6 mai.
